Lisa Seal Frigon, who was born of Barry Seals first marriage and now administers the estate, claims in a lawsuit that her fathers third wife and three children born of that marriage sold Seals life story rights to the movie studio for $350,000 without court approval or the estates consent. Overall, the lawsuit attempts to stop the movie from being released. Judicial decisions are not intended to be an authoritative source of law in Louisiana; they are secondary to legislation, the court said. But in real life, Seals cover was blown before the photos came out thanks to the Times article. The Advocate reported
